Additional Information
- Not all metal detectable gaskets are made equally. Improvements are constantly being made regarding material and color availability to ensure correct gasket reordering.
- Different gaskets are needed for different temperatures, i.e. frying processes only require 350°-375° F for production while a much higher temperature is needed for sanitation. This makes it critical to have the proper material for these higher temps.
- Proper alignment of the gasket is critical, as well as the torque applied to the nuts on the sanitary clamp. Over torquing could cause the gasket to extrude to both the outside and inside of the flange. This extruded material can break off with material flow within the tubing and end up in the final product and can go undetected.
- HS Innovations’ TNT Gasket solves these problems with their patent pending design.
